Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team will be collecting donations to support the relief efforts for the California wildfires at all three home games this week. Working in conjunction with the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Red Cross, tables will be set up at all three games to accept cash donations that will go directly to the victims of the fire.
The wildfires have burned almost 500,000 acres of land in Southern California forcing approximately 50,000 people to be evacuated from their homes. Eight American Red Cross chapters within the state have banded together to open 23 shelters/evacuation centers, housing more than 3,000 displaced residents, with that number expected to rise. Ten Emergency Response Vehicles from within the state are providing feeding to evacuees and firefighters.
"With almost half of the teams in our division being directly affected by the fires, we wanted to be able to lend a hand to the relief efforts," said Wranglers Director of Community Relations Stacey Cohen. "The fans in Las Vegas have been incredibly supportive of the team thus far, and we hope that they will continue to support us as we try to assist those in need in the state of California."
Donations will be accepted during all three home games this week, which fall tonight at 7:05pm and Friday and Saturday nights, also at 7:05pm. Fans can drop off their cash donations at the Wranglers Guest Services table by the main entrance to the Orleans Arena tonight, and at special Red Cross tables on Friday and Saturday nights. Donations can also be made directly to the Red Cross by calling their office at 731-3311 or visiting their website at www.redcross.org.
All fans attending the game tonight will receive a pair of Thundersticks courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings. Tickets are still available for the weekend games at Wranglers' ticket locations including the Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers. Fans may also order tickets by phone at (702) 284-7777 or on the web at www.orleansarena.com.
Season seat packages to see the Wranglers play at the Orleans Arena in 2003-2004 are now on sale for as low as $90. Call the Wranglers at (702)-471-PUCK (7825) or visit their website at www.lasvegaswranglers.com for more information.
