Dayton Bombers News Release
The Dayton Bombers have announced that they have partnered with the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area for a unique, on-ice contest at the Bombers' home game at the Ervin J. Nutter Center on Sunday, November 2 (vs. Toledo, 4:00 p.m.), featuring a challenge from United Way President Marc R. Levy.
During an intermission promotion, representatives of area businesses and United Way funded agencies will be challenging United Way President Marc R. Levy to a contest on the ice, just one of many fun festivities that will take place during the game.
Levy remarked about the event, "Partnering with the Bombers provides United Way an opportunity for our supporters to have fun and raise some money to help sustain the vital network of health and human services in our community."
A percentage of the proceeds from the game will benefit the United Way. The Bombers' Sunday celebration will also include the kick-off of the all, new "Bucky's Flight Crew" sponsored by Office Depot. The Bombers will also be having their first "Skate with the Players" session after the game. To participate as a group or purchase tickets individually for this event, contact Bombers' Vice President of Community Affairs Stacey Walker at 937-902-5263.
The Bombers' next game will be on Friday, October 31 at Johnstown (7:00 p.m.). The game can be heard on www.daytonbombers.com (Media Center/Listen Live section) via www.broadcastmonsters.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pre-game show.
The Bombers will then return home on Saturday, November 1 to host Cincinnati (7:00 p.m.) for College/Bud Light Dollar Beer Night at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. After the Saturday game, the Bombers will wrap up a three games-in-three days weekend with the aforementioned United Way/"Bucky's Flight Crew" home game on Sunday, November 2 (4:00 p.m.).
