Condors Attend School's Mascot Dedication

Bakersfield Condors News Release


Upcoming week of October 27th - November 2nd:

· Tuesday, October 28th - The Bakersfield Condors will be attending the 13th Annual Bakersfield Business & Technology EXPO from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. The EXPO will be held at the Bakersfield Convention Center located at 1001 Truxtun Avenue. For more information contact the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce at 327-4421.

· Wednesday, October 29th - Bakersfield Condors Director of Community Relations & Development will be joined by Condors wingers Todd Alexander and Devin Francon at the dedication ceremony of Greenfield School District's 10th campus, Valley Verde Elementary School. Valley Verde has chosen the Condor as its mascot. The ceremony will take place on campus, located at 400 Berkshire Road beginning at 9:00am

· Friday, October 31st - Join the Condors at the Olive Drive Church's annual Hallelujah Family Fun Night from 5:30pm - 8:00pm. Olive Drive Church is located at 5500 Olive Drive. For more information contact the church at 393-8210.

Week in Review:

· Friday, October 24th - The Bakersfield Condors concluded Red Ribbon Week by attending Panama Buena Vista School's Red Ribbon Awards Ceremony from 11:30am - 12:30 pm. The Condors will be handed out certificates of achievement to children for participating in the week's activities

Condors Droppings:

· Don't forget to sign your children up for the 2003-2004 Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club, sponsored by Bright House Networks, The Bakersfield Californian, Kern School Federal Credit Union and Cold Stone Creamery. Your membership includes admission to six weekend Condors Games, a Kids Club T-shirt, $5.00 savings account at Kern Schools Federal Credit Union, membership ID card, and exclusive parties with players and mascots, all for just $20.00. · Raiderette Extravaganza! Don't forget to place your bid for this month's Condors Internet Auction. The Oakland Raiderettes are coming back for the Condors home game on November 22nd! This is your chance to get a photo of you and the Raiderettes next to the Condors zamboni, a Raiderette autographed football, and two tickets to the Condors game that night! Log on to www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross - Kern County Chapter.

· Season ticket packages are available starting at just $48, and group outings are also available. For more information, contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825), or visit the Condors office at Centennial Garden.

· As of October 28, 2003, the Bakersfield Condors have donated nearly $16,000 in cash, goods, and services to the Bakersfield community during the 2003-2004 campaign.
