Ryan Craig Named Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week

Pensacola, FL - Pensacola Ice Pilots forward Ryan Craig was named today the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the week for October 20-26. Craig scored three goals and had seven points in the Ice Pilots two wins vs. Columbus last Friday night and Texas last Saturday night.
Craig scored a goal and picked up two assists in the 5-4 win vs. Columbus and scored two goals and picked up two assists in the Ice Pilots 7-2 win vs. Texas on Saturday night. Craig currently is tied for second among ECHL rookies with four assists and seven points. He leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with seven points and is tied for the team lead with three goals in four games.
Craig, who is the Ice Pilots alternate captain, is an assigned pro player from the Tampa Bay Lightning selected in the eighth round and the 255th overall player taken by Tampa Bay in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He scored 268 points (137 goals and 131 assists) in 302 regular season games with Brandon of the Western Hockey League from 1997-2003 and scored 74 points (42 goals and 32 assists) in 60 regular season games and 13 points 95 goals and 8 assists) in 17 postseason games for the Wheat Kings in 2002-2003.
Craig and the Ice Pilots will be in action on Thursday night at home vs. the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will host a Halloween Costume Contest. Fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween Costumes to the game with prizes given away. The Ice Pilots will also play home on Saturday night vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m.
