Louisiana IceGators News Release
Lafayette, LA â Clawd's Krewe, the Zoo of Acadiana's Official Louisiana IceGators Kids Club, has more than doubled in size in the last 10 days and is currently at 1,100 members, the team announced Tuesday. The FREE Kids Club is still accepting registration forms, which can be downloaded at www.icegators.com.
"We're thrilled at the early success of Clawd's Krewe," said IceGators community relations coordinator Jill LeBlanc. "As the season progresses, it's going to get more and more exciting as we gain new members. We can't wait for our first event this weekend."
Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Zoo of Acadiana, Clawd and four IceGators players will be on hand to sign autographs and visit exclusively with Clawd's Krewe members.
"As always, the Zoo of Acadiana strives to be a family-oriented experience," said George Oldenburg, the zoo's owner. "Partnering with the IceGators adds nothing but flavor to the excitement. We hope that all children will take advantage of this opportunity to meet the IceGators, Clawd and have a fun-filled family day at the Zoo."
The team has also announced the next Clawd's Krewe event. Sunday, Dec. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Skate Zone, there will be a Free Clawd's Krewe Member Skate Party. Bring a friend for an additional $3!
The IceGators return home following a five-game road trip for a 4:05 p.m. game against Columbus on Sunday, Nov. 9. That game is Military Appreciation Night. Special group discounts are available by calling the IceGators office at (337) 234-4423 prior to November 1, and special walk-up discounts are available after that.
Individual tickets for all games, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level), are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are still on sale and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Season ticketholders get great benefits like the concession item of the game and merchandise discounts.
