BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads pulled out a 4-2 win in the final game of a three-game series against the Florida Everblades Saturday night, and won the series two-games-to-one. The 4,592 fans at the Bank of America Centre saw an exciting, but much less physical than anticipated match, after Friday night's penalty-filled contest.

Greg Keith scored the first goal at 8:08 of the game. Idaho's captain Dan Vandermeer sent the puck down the boards and it wrapped around the net. Brett Draney gathered it up and passed it to Keith who set up in from of Florida's net and patiently waited for goaltender Rob Zepp to commit before finding the net, glove side for his first of the season. The period ended with Idaho leading 1-0.

The Blades dominated play most of the second period and evened the game at 2:39. After winning the face off in their end and skating it down the ice, Ernie Hartlieb came up with the puck, fed Damian Surma a nice pass across Idaho's net, and he converted with a one-timer. Idaho regained the lead at the 14-minute mark with an unbelievable play. Defenseman David Cornacchia took possession of the puck and skated a loop from the right circle around Florida's net and back again before getting off a wrister that somehow got past Zepp who had gone down to make the save. Just a couple minutes later, Florida's Chris Hodgson tied the game again on a one-timer who was positioned in front of the net and ripped one past Doyle.

Jonathan Zion tallied his first goal of the season with a slap shot at the 7-minute mark of the third period. Scott Burt sealed the deal with a late period goal. He skated in with the puck and after taking the shot, slid into the net with 2-minutes left to play.

Though Florida outshot Idaho 26 to19, Idaho's Doyle improved his record to 6-2.
