ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Keith Anderson has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve list and forward Chris Hodgson has been activated from the 7-day IR.

Anderson was injured he was when checked hard into the boards on Friday, November 12 at Idaho. The 26-year-old native of Minnesota suffered a grade-3 concussion after he was hit by Steelheads defenseman David Cornaccia, who jumped to make the hit, and knocked unconscious for several minutes. Anderson has three points (2g, 1a) in 10 games this season with the Everblades. Anderson, who notched 51 points in 55 games for Florida last season, joins Reggie Berg, Brad Church and Cody Doucette on the IR for the Everblades.

The ‘Blades also activated rookie forward Chris Hodgson off the 7-day IR to take Anderson's spot on the roster. Hodgson has skated in four games with the Everblades this season, collecting his first professional goal on October 22 vs. Texas. The 20-year-old from Frederickton, New Brunswick had missed the previous six games while on the IR.

Florida concludes its six-game west coast swing on Saturday, November 13 when the team takes on the Idaho Steelheads in the final of three straight games between the teams this week, game time is at 9:05 p.m./EST.
