Trenton Devils News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Jason Notermann had two goals as the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies handed the Trenton Titans a 5-3 loss, their first in regulation, in front of 2,347 at Boardwalk Hall.

Notermann's first even strength goal of the season put the Bullies up 2-0 11:03 into the first period as Trenton found themselves down early for the second night in a row.

Scott Horvath made the lead three goals for AC when he lit the lamp 1:55 into the middle period. Andrew Allen came into game to replace Chris Houle who left the game with 11 saves on 14 shots.

The Titans were able to answer just 23 seconds later when Nick Deschenes deflected Matt Libby's wrist past Jake Moreland to make it 3-1. Notermann, however, put the Bullies back up by three with a power play goal at 5:01 of the second period.

Steve Cygan helped cut into Atlantic City's margin with his first goal of the season, unassisted at 11:00. Phil Lewandowski pulled the Titans to within one goal as he made it 4-3 with his fourth goal over the last three games, but that's as close as Trenton would get.

In the third period, Derek Edwardson helped seal the win with the second power play goal of the game for the Bullies, coming on a two-man advantage at 10:23.

Moreland made 31 saves for his fourth win of the year. The Titans' record goes to 6-1-1 as Allen turned away 19 in dropping his first decision during regulation.
