Chiefs Remain Unbeaten in Season

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs broke a 2-2 tie with three, third period goals to defeat the visiting Peoria Rivermen 5-2, Saturday night at the War Memorial Arena. The Chiefs are now 4-0-5 on the season.

Brent Kelly led the Chiefs with a pair of goals. Steve Hildenbrand, Mike James and Matt Reid also scored. Peoria's goal scorers were Justin Maiser and Trevor Johnson.

Chiefs goaltender David Cann posted his first professional win making 27 saves. Chris Beckford-Tseu suffered the loss for the Rivermen making 20 saves. Peoria is now 2-3-2 on the season.

Thanksgiving weekend will be a busy weekend of hockey at the War Memorial as the Chiefs will play three games in four nights beginning Wednesday when they host the Trenton Titans at 8:00 p.m. The next designated sellout night sponsored by "Your Neighborhood Ford Store," is on Friday November 26th versus the Toledo Storm. The Chiefs will close out the holiday weekend on Saturday November 27th when they face the Long Beach Ice Dogs.
