Steckel powers Bears to 4-2 win over Cleveland

HERSHEY runs its point streak to eleven straight games as the BEARS scored four unanswered goals in a 4-2 victory at GIANT Center Wednesday night.

After Cleveland took a 2-0 lead in the second period, Chris Bourque scored at the 17:37 mark to cut the deficit to 2-1. Dave Steckel then took the game into his own hands with a goal at 18:08 of the second period and 8:57 of the third to give HERSHEY the lead. Graham Mink scored his 13th of the season into an empty net as time expired to round out the scoring. Frederic Cassivi won his eighth game of the season, making 19 saves. Coupled with a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton overtime loss at home against Providence, the BEARS now trail the Penguins by seven points in the race for first place in the East. Third place Bridgeport now trails HERSHEY by ten points.
