Cleveland Barons News Release

11/23/2005 9:20:00 AM - The Cleveland Barons are in town as the BEARS look to get points in 11 straight games. Face-off is at 7:00 p.m. for the only visit by the Barons to central Pennsylvania in 2005-06.

HERSHEY's power play approached mythical proportions this past weekend with a franchise record seven power play goals against Philadelphia and four more goals with the man advantage for good measure Sunday against Rochester. The Barons enter play tonight last in the AHL in road penalty kill with a 68.6 percent clip. The BEARS are looking to exact a measure of revenge on the Barons tonight after Cleveland edged HERSHEY 3-2 in a shootout back on November 1 at Quicken Loans Arena.

The BEARS open play tonight in second place in the AHL's East Division, trailing Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by eight points, but lead third place Bridgeport by eight points as action gets underway tonight. The Penguins play host to the Providence Bruins tonight while the Sound Tigers have the night off.

Tickets are available for tonight's game through the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR. The annual Stroehmann/Canteen & Covenco Turkey shoot will take place on the ice following tonight's game. All fans will have a chance to shoot for a Thanksgiving Turkey following the game.

Tonight's game can be heard on both 100.1 FM WQIC and 1490-AM WLPA, as well as Pennlive.com. B2 Networks through HersheyBears.com provides the video feed of tonight's action as well. John Walton calls the action beginning at 6:40 p.m.
