At 16-0-1-0, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has earned a point in each of its first 17 games, but is now without leading scorer Michel Ouellet, who made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh on Tuesday... Following Wednesday's contest, the Penguins head to Rochester and Binghamton with an eye on more AHL history, as their current 11-game road winnning streak (dating back to last season) is two off the league record.

Milwaukee spends its Thanksgiving in Texas with a four-game set against San Antonio (Wednesday, Saturday) and Houston (Friday, Sunday)... The Admirals, with eight wins in nine games entering the trip, begin play 13 points behind the division-leading Aeros with a whopping nine games in hand... Libor Pivko and Darren Haydar share the Milwaukee team lead with 14 points apiece, while Kris Beech has scored a team-high six goals... Pekka Rinne remains one of the top goaltenders in the AHL, ranking second with a 1.81 goals-against average in 12 outings... Houston is 7-2-0-1 in the month of November, but dropped two of three last weekend... The Rampage have lost six in a row at the SBC Center.

With 13 wins in its first 17 games, Portland gets four tough division tests in a five-day span, beginning with a visit from second-place Manchester on Wednesday... The Monarchs have a record of 5-0-0-1 in their last six games, with five of them decided in overtime or a shootout... Manchester rookie Jeff Tambellini has recorded a point in nine of his last 10 games (11g, 8a)... The Pirates, who recently began a stretch of 28 straight games against Atlantic Division foes, enter the week with a seven-game winning streak within the division and winners of seven of their last eight overall... Portland added 2003 first-round draft picks Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf on Monday... Nathan Marsters is a perfect 7-0-0 to begin his AHL career, with a 1.91 GAA and .937 save percentage for the Pirates.
