
Squirrels and Thunder Postponed on Wednesday

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels scheduled game against the Trenton Thunder on Wednesday night has been postponed due to heavy rain throughout the afternoon at The Diamond. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 PM on Thursday night at The Diamond. The doubleheader will consist of two seven-inning ballgames. The Diamond gates will open at 4:35 on Thursday afternoon.
Fans holding tickets for Wednesday night's game may redeem them at the Flying Squirrels' Box Office at The Diamond for vouchers to any remaining 2011 regular season game, including Thursday's doubleheader.
LHP Ryan Verdugo (5-4, 4.04) will make the start for the Squirrels in game one of the doubleheader against RHP Dellin Betances (4-3, 2.71) for the Thunder. Game two will feature a matchup of right-handers, as Squirrels' RHP Justin Fitzgerald (6-4, 3.55) will oppose Trenton RHP Craig Heyer (7-3, 3.18).
