South Carolina collected the game's first goal early in period number one. At the 4:49 mark of the opening period, Brett Cameron potted home his ninth of the season. Bobby Shea collected a pass at the point from David Pacan where he then propelled the puck on goal. After Gladiators goalie Kent Patterson stopped the initial shot, Cameron was there to put home the rebound and the Stingrays up 1-0.

The Stingrays would add another marker in the first period when Cameron notched his second goal of the game with just one second left on the South Carolina powerplay. Stephen Vigier found Patrick Gaul at the side of the goal where he powered his way to the front of the net. Patterson knocked it away from Gaul but it went right to Cameron who chipped it into the goal for his 11th tally of the season.

Pecan increased the Stingray lead to 3-0 when he registered his second point of the night 8:08 into the middle frame. The South Carolina leading scorer earned his 30th point on the season as he completed a 3-on-2 rush with a wrist shot past Patterson. Brendan Ellis and Marcus Perrier were given credit for the assists on the goal.

Atlanta got the board in the final period taking advantage of their third powerplay of the game. Brock Higgs slammed a rebound into the net stemming from a Garry Nunn shot that bounced off the pad of South Carolina goaltender Vitek Vanecek. The marker was the 16th of the season for Higgs while Nunn and Tyler Murovich collected their 24th and 12th assists, respectfully.

Jared Staal added an insurance goal late the third to give the 4-1 victory to the Stingrays. With the win on home ice, South Carolina improves to 47 points on the year and a record of 21-13-3-2. Atlanta falls to 25-14-2-0 and remain at 52 points.
