Durham Bulls News Release
Durham, NC - The Nashville Sounds scored twice in the 10 th inning to hand the Durham its second extra innings loss of the series, dealing the Bulls a 3-2 defeat on Thursday night at the DBAP.
After Kameron Misner tied the game 1-1 with a solo home run in the third inning, the Bulls (14-22) couldn't muster the key hit with ample runners aboard in the latter stages of the game. After a Jonathan Aranda singled in the last of the 10 th to pull Durham to within 3-2, the Bulls left the bases loaded to end the game. Ronny Simon's potential game-winning single was stabbed by Nashville second baseman Isaac Collins for the final out of the game.
Nashville (17-19) leads the six-game series 2-games-to-1.
Junior Caminero collected three of Durham's eight hits, as the Bulls star went 3-5.
Joe Rock worked a solid five-inning start, permitting just one unearned run in the first inning. Durham committed three errors in the game, including two in the first inning, which led to Nashville's run.
