Week 4 Recap

The Sound Tigers were handed their second loss in as many games to the Lowell Devils, 4-3 on Wednesday. Three third period Sound Tiger penalties halted their chances to stop a Lowell comeback. The Sound Tigers jumped to an early lead with a goal from Steve Reiger and then doubled it with a goal from Jamie Fraser. The Devilsscored four straight goals to help lead Lowell to victory. Joey MacDonald returned in net, after his wife gave birth to their first child, and made 29 saves.
The Sound Tigers returned to action Saturday at the Scope in Norfolk. The Admirals won the game 2-1, scoring two goals within the first minute of the third period. The Sound Tigers struck first with a goal by Jeremy Colliton, but it wasn't enough as Norfolk scored two back-to-back goals to erase any hopes of a Sound Tigers win. Joey MacDonald tallied 32 saves in the loss.
