Week 4 Recap

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers suffered two losses this week to the Lowell Devils and the Norfolk Admirals.

The Sound Tigers were handed their second loss in as many games to the Lowell Devils, 4-3 on Wednesday. Three third period Sound Tiger penalties halted their chances to stop a Lowell comeback. The Sound Tigers jumped to an early lead with a goal from Steve Reiger and then doubled it with a goal from Jamie Fraser. The Devilsscored four straight goals to help lead Lowell to victory. Joey MacDonald returned in net, after his wife gave birth to their first child, and made 29 saves.

The Sound Tigers returned to action Saturday at the Scope in Norfolk. The Admirals won the game 2-1, scoring two goals within the first minute of the third period. The Sound Tigers struck first with a goal by Jeremy Colliton, but it wasn't enough as Norfolk scored two back-to-back goals to erase any hopes of a Sound Tigers win. Joey MacDonald tallied 32 saves in the loss.

Tthe Sound Tigers will travel to Binghamton on Friday, Nov. 2 to take on the Senators at 7:05 p.m. Immediately following the game, the Sound Tigers travel to Hershey to take on the Hershey Bears, Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and will return home Sunday, Nov. 4 against the Admirals at 4 p.m.

SOUND TIGERS BEDEVILED BY LOWELL

Once again the Sound Tigers were unable to stay out of the penalty box, with three penalties in the third period, to help the Lowell Devils' comeback victory over Sound Tigers, 4-3.

SOUND TIGERS SHIP SUNK BY ADMIRALS

For the second straight game, the Sound Tigers played a sound first two periods but collapsed in the third period. On Wednesday it was the Lowell Devils who came from behind in the final period, and tonight, the Norfolk Admirals handed the Sound Tigers their third straight loss, beating them 2-1 with two goals within the first minute of the third period.

CTSUBIE

Connecticut's Subaru Team, CTSUBIE, and the Sound Tigers will team up for a fund raising event for the Sound Tigers' game on Nov. 11 against the Hershey Bears. A portions of the ticket sales will go to families that lost their children in the fatal car accident in Bristol, CT on Aug. 23.
