Sharks Recall Forwards Devin Setoguchi And Lukas Kaspar From Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forwards Devin Setoguchi and Lukas Kaspar (LOO-kash KASH-pahr) from the Worcester Sharks, San Jose's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

The club also announced that forward Ryane Clowe (knee) and defenseman Rob Davison (finger) have been placed on injured reserve.

Setoguchi, originally selected by San Jose in the first round (8th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, led the NHL in goal scoring (five) during the preseason and was second on the Sharks points with seven (5-2=7) in seven games.

He made the Sharks opening night roster but was hampered by an ankle injury and subsequently, placed on injured reserve. He was assigned to Worcester on Oct. 12 without playing in an NHL game. In three AHL games thus far, he posted four penalty minutes.

Kaspar, the Sharks first round selection in 2004 (22nd overall), posted four points (0-4=4) in six preseason games. He was among the team's final roster cuts of training camp, assigned to Worcester on Sept. 30. In six games with Worcester this season, he scored two points (1-1=2).

The Worcester Sharks travel to Hartford on Friday, November 2nd at 7p.m. before returning home on Saturday, November 3rd to host the Philadelphia Phantoms on "Fear Factor Night" at 7:05p.m. The first 3,000 fans will receive the first of five Autographed Collector's Cards and college students will receive a discounted ticket with proof of college ID.
