This contest will be the first of only two games this season with the Syracuse Crunch ... Last season, San Antonio went 1-1-0-0 against the Columbus Blue Jackets affiliate, and has compiled an all-time record of 3-3-0-0.

This game is the first of three road games in consecutive nights for the
Rampage ... This match is the second of a six-game series (3 home, 3
away) this season against the Chicago Blackhawks affiliate marks ... The
Rampage, who are 0-1 after the first meeting, have one connection with
Rockford in former Rampage goaltender Wade Flaherty.
Saturday, Nov. 3 & Sunday, Nov. 4 vs. Quad City Flames

This will be the first of eight match-ups (4 home, 4 road) against Calgary Flames affiliate this season ... Quad City is one of three new teams to play in the AHL this season (joining Rockford & Lake Erie) ... Former Rampage coach Scott Allen is the Flames' assistant coach.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT
FIRST BLOOD: The Rampage are 4-0-0-1 when they score first (90%) as opposed to 0-3-0-1 (12.5%) when they allow the first tally.
LINE OF DEMARCATION: San Antonio is 3-0-0-1 (87.5%) when they score four goals or more, but just 1-3-0-1 (30%) when they score three goals or less.
DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS: Forward Pete Vandermeer leads the team with 101 penalty minutes, which ranks 1st in the league in just six games. The 12-year pro, who entered the season ranked 5th on the AHL's all-time list with 2,164 PIM, is on pace to record a fifth season with 300+ penalty minutes.

RED OCTOBER: Regardless of Wednesday's outcome, the Rampage (4-2-0-2; 10 points) will finish the month of October with the second-best start in team history. The hottest October the Rampage had was during the 2003-04 season when they finished with a 6-2-1-0 (13 pts) record.
PROUD PAPA: Congratulations to forward Pete Vandermeer and his wife, Janet, on the birth of their first child. Baby girl, Danika Janet (8-lbs, 6oz), was born on Oct. 21.
