WEEK 4 - RIVERMEN ACTION (1-1-0-1)
Friday, October 26 - RIVERMEN 2 vs. Iowa Stars 3 (SO)
Peoria jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Hans Benson (his first in the AHL) and Jean-Guy Trudel, but the Stars tied the game on third period power play markers from Marty Sertich and Junior Lessard. No scoring in overtime led to a shootout, where the Stars converted on all three chances and only Nikolay Lemtyugov scored for Peoria to give Iowa the win.
Saturday, October 27 - RIVERMEN 3 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins 5
Five different Griffins lit the lamp for Grand Rapids as they slid by the Rivermen Saturday by a 5-3 count. Mike Glumac, Michal Birner, and Charles Linglet each scored for Peoria in the loss.
Sunday, October 28 - RIVERMEN 7 @ Grand Rapids Griffins 1
Seven separate Rivermen scored including the first professional goals for Nicholas Drazenovic and Chris Porter as the Rivermen exacted a measure of revenge on Sunday at Grand Rapids. Marek Schwarz picked up the win in net with 13 saves, and Peoria allowed only two shots in the first and third periods of Sunday's win.
