
Sound Tigers Return Four To ECHL

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have returned forwards Joe Tallari to the ECHL's Johnstown Chiefs and Mark Lee to the ECHL's Trenton Titans and released defenseman T.J. Kemp and forward Doug Christiansen from their professional tryout contracts. Tallari assisted on the tying goal as Johnstown opened the playoffs with a 2-1 overtime win over Trenton at home Monday. Lee will be in Trenton's lineup when the Titans host the Chiefs in game two of their best-of-three series tonight. Kemp and Christiansen have returned to the Reading Royals who will begin their postseason this Friday.
Tallari had two goals, five assists, seven points and 14 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Sound Tigers this season. Lee notched his first AHL point with a goal in his last game with the Sound Tigers this past Sunday and also totaled ten penalty minutes in 25 games with the team this season. Kemp signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers on March 31st and appeared in six games. Christiansen signed a PTO last Friday and appeared in three games over the weekend to increase his totals to seven penalty minutes in five games during two stints with the Sound Tigers this season.
The Sound Tigers will finish the regular season with a pair of road games this weekend versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Friday, April 14th at 7:05 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Saturday, April 15th at 7 p.m.
