Right Wing Jon DiSalvatore Returns to Peoria
Peoria, IL (April 11, 2006) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced today that the Rivermen parent club St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) has returned right wing Jon DiSalvatore (dih-SAL-vuh-TOHR) on loan to the Rivermen upon the termination of emergency conditions. DiSalvatore will be available to play tonight when the Rivermen host the San Antonio Rampage at Carver Arena at 7:00 p.m. (CDT).
DiSalvatore, 25, did not see any action with the Blues during his most recent recall to the NHL. The 6-1, 200-pound right wing made his NHL debut with the Blues on Thursday, January 19, at Washington and has played in a total of five NHL games so far this season for St. Louis. DiSalvatore returns to the Rivermen as the team's leading scorer with 66 points (21 goals, 45 assists) in 69 games played. The native of Bangor, Maine, was originally chosen by the San Jose Sharks with their second selection, 104th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
