
Admirals Sign Two Players

Milwaukee, WI- Milwaukee Admirals Executive Vice President/General Manager Phil Wittliff announced today that the team has signed center Cal O'Reilly to an amateur try out contract (ATO) and goaltender Jake Moreland to a professional try-out contract (PTO).
O' Reilly, drafted by the Nashville Predators in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, comes to the Admirals after finishing his season with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL. O'Reilly finished the season with 99 points (18g-81a), a +2 rating and just eight penalty minutes. The Toronto, ONT native was tied for third in the OHL in assists and was ninth in points. O'Reilly finished his three year career with the Spitfires with 45 goals and 149 assists for 190 points in 197 games.
Moreland compiled a 14-19-8 record with a .919 save percentage and a 3.14 goals against average in 43 games with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. The St. Cloud State University alum played in two AHL games with the Worcester IceCats in the 2003-04 season, posting a 1-1 record and an impressive 1.38 GAA.
The Admirals finish up the regular season with two games this week. They will take on the Chicago Wolves on Friday at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center and then battle the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday night in Grand Rapids. The Ads will begin the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd with 7:00 pm games both nights at the Bradley Center. The opponents for these games are yet to be determined.
Tickets for the regular season finale with the Wolves are just $2 for seats in the 400 level and all proceeds from the tickets will go to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
