
Falcons Sign Ouellette To ATO

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have signed forward Mike Ouellette to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO). Ouellette is expected to practice with the Falcons this week and make his debut this weekend with Springfield in their final three games of the 2005-06 campaign.
Ouellette recently finished his collegiate career with Dartmouth College. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Kamloops, British Columbia native collected 13 goals and 24 assists for 27 points in 33 games this year with Dartmouth. He served as the captain of the team.
In Ouellette's four seasons with Dartmouth, he finished his collegiate career with 58 goals and 80 assists for 138 points in 136 career games. Ouellette was voted co-MVP by his teammates after his junior season. He was named ECACHL Player of the Week and USCHO.com/ITECH Inside College Hockey.com Player of the Week on January 17, 2005. He was chosen for the Second Team All-Ivy and Academic All-ECACHL Team during his junior year. Ouellette was given the team's Smoyer Award (Unsung Hero) after his sophomore season. He finished his freshman season as ECAC Rookie of the Week.
Ouellette also spent two seasons with the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). In his last season (2001-02) he collected 32 goals and 43 assists for 75 points, making him the team's top scorer. He was named to the BCHL Viking Cup and was also named as a BCHL First Team All-Star and Rookie of the Year.
The Falcons return to action this week for their final three games when they host Albany on Thursday night at 7:05 PM and Portland on Saturday night at 7:05 PM. Springfield will travel to Portland on Friday night. All games can be heard live on the Falcons Hockey Network, WMAS AM 1450, as "The Voice" of the Falcons John Michael handles the play-by-play duties. All games can also be seen live through the B-2 Network for only $6.00.
