Sound Tigers Recall Bourbeau, Release Friesen

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Feb. 7, 2011) ‚¬" In a pair of separate moves today, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that they have recalled forward Jean Bourbeau from the Odessa Jackalopes of the Central Hockey League and released defenseman Dustin Friesen from his professional tryout contract.

A 6-0, 200-pound forward, Bourbeau begins his second stint with the Sound Tigers after being loaned to Odessa (CHL) on Jan. 27. Bourbeau began the season with the Sound Tigers following training camp and shows one goal and 24 penalty minutes in 25 games with Bridgeport.

Friesen joined the Sound Tigers on a PTO on Nov. 24 and signed his second PTO with the club on Jan. 23. The Waldheim, Sask. native recorded one goal and two assists with the Sound Tigers in 20 games. Friesen returns to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL where he's notched two assists in 11 games this season.
