Netminder Pasquale Returns to Gwinnett

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned goaltender EDWARD PASQUALE from the Chicago Wolves to the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.

PASQUALE was recalled from Gwinnett on Jan. 16 and made 25 saves on 27 shots in 51:25 of relief duty in the Wolves 5-2 loss to the Oklahoma City Barons on Jan. 29. He has appeared in 12 contests for the Wolves overall this season, posting a 3.10 goals-against average and .895 save percentage during his professional debut (5-6-0).

The 20-year-old netminder has also backstopped five ECHL contests with Gwinnett accruing a 2-2-0 record, 3.79 goals-against average and .904 save percentage.

Last year, the Toronto native notched a 27-17-5 record, 3.17 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in 51 contests with the Saginaw Spirit (OHL). His .916 save percentage shared fourth in the league while his 27 victories shared sixth. He posted a 75-48-13 record, 3.11 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 142 career OHL contests with Saginaw and the Belleville Bulls, spanning four seasons (2006-10) before turning pro.
