MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released goaltender Kris Tebbs from his American Hockey League tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Prior to joining the Monarchs, Tebbs last suited up for the CHL's Laredo Bucks in two games during the 2009-10 season where he stopped 37-of-43 shots through 84 minutes of play and collected an 0-1-1 record with a 4.28 goals-against-average and a .860 save percentage. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound native of Calgary, Alberta has played in 199 professional games with the CHL's Bucks, Allen Americans, Corpus Christi Icerays and Mississippi RiverKings, the ECHL's Texas Wildcatters and Alaska Aces, and the UHL's Bloomington PrairieThunder, Elmira Jackals and Adirondack Frostbite from 2004-10. Tebbs also spent two seasons (2003-05) between the pipes for the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Tebbs backed up goaltender Martin Jones during Saturday's 4-0 win against the Albany Devils.

The Monarchs will play the first of four games in five days at home Wednesday evening as they face off against the Hershey Bears at 7:00 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
