TWO SCOOPS OF FUN

The Wolves have held opponents to two or fewer goals in a game just once in their last five games after allowing two or fewer tallies in four of their previous five contests; Chicago has recorded an 18-2-0-0 mark when holding its foes to two or fewer markers this season.

--- NIGEL DAWES: Tallied two points (G, A) on Saturday, his eighth multiple-point game this season ... Paces the Wolves and shares fifth in the league with 23 goals and ranks fifth on the team with 39 points in 44 games this season ... Ranks second on the club with seven power-play strikes and 136 shots on goal

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Bagged two goals on Friday and has collected four points (2G, 2A) in his last five games ... Shares first on the Wolves and seventh in the AHL with 47 points in 51 games this season ... Ranks second on Chicago and 10th in the league with 29 assists and holds second on the squad with 18 goals

--- DREW MacINTYRE: Stopped 24 of 26 shots to pick up the win in his return to the Wolves lineup after being reassigned by the Atlanta Thrashers on Friday ... He backed up two contests during his recall ... Accrued a 2.82 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in 16 games with the Wolves this season (9-5-1) ... Collected wins in five of his last six games, posting a 2.31 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in those contests (5-1-0)

--- ANDRE DEVEAUX: Paced the team with three points (G, 2A) in two games last week, which includes his fifth multiple-point outing of the year on Friday (2A) ... Shares third on the Wolves with 16 goals in 51 matchups this season, which matches a career-high ... Ranks seventh on the team with 15 assists and 31 points ... Paces Chicago and shares fifth in the AHL with 10 power-play strikes

--- JASON KROG: Posted two points (2A) on Saturday after registering two points (G, A) in his previous nine games ... Shares first on the Wolves and seventh in the AHL with 47 points in 54 games this season ... Leads Chicago and shares second in the AHL with 36 assists ... Is one of just two Wolves to have appeared in every game so far this season

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago, which snapped a three-game winless streak on Saturday, sits in seventh place in the West Division with 58 points (26-22-2-4) through 54 games this season, trailing Milwaukee and San Antonio, which are tied for first place, by six points; the Admirals hold five games in hand, while the Rampage hold three.

--- Chicago has opened scoring in four of its last six games, which includes Saturday ‚¬â„¢s win over Peoria; the Wolves have notched a .652 winning percentage when scoring first this season (13-6-1-3).

--- The Wolves have been held without a power-play goal in back-to-back games (zero for seven) for just the fourth time this season; the Wolves rank third in the AHL with a 22.1 conversion rate on the power play (55 of 249).

--- Defenseman ANDREY ZUBAREV became the 24th Wolves player to score a goal this season when he potted his first career AHL marker on Saturday.

--- The Wolves have been perfect on the penalty kill in their last two tilts (eight of eight) after surrendering three man-advantage tallies in their previous two contests (nine of 12); Chicago ranks 29th in the league with a 76.5 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill overall this season (195 of 255).

READ UP ON IT

--- Wolves center JARED ROSS will visit the Barrington Library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., on Tue., Feb. 8, at 6 p.m., as part of the team ‚¬â„¢s ‚¬Å“Read to Succeed ‚¬Â program, presented by Vista Health System, Pace and Butternut Bread. Members of the squad will make library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 550,000 children since its inception in 1995.

--- The Wolves scored first and never fell behind, collecting an eventual 4-2 victory over the Peoria Rivermen before 10,528 fans at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards MIKE DAVIES, ANDRE DEVEAUX and NIGEL DAWES and defenseman ANDREY ZUBAREV scored for Chicago
--- Goaltender DREW MacINTYRE kicked out 24 of 26 shots

Fri., Feb. 4
Abbotsford 4, (at) Chicago 3 (SO)
--- The Wolves tied the game, 3-3, with 2:17 left to play but fell in a shootout, 4-3, to the Abbotsford Heat at the Allstate Arena
--- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR led the way with two goals, while left wing ANDREW KOZEK also scored
--- Goaltender PETER MANNINO made 28 saves in regulation and overtime and stopped three attempts in the shootout
