HERSHEY, Pa. - A six-goal third period saw the Hershey Bears down the Sound Tigers 6-3 on Friday night at Giant Center.

Stanislav Galiev scored two goals and added an assist, while Chris Brown had a goal and two assists and Tim Kennedy registered four helpers on the night.

Hershey took no time to get on the board, as Galiev kept up his hot play with a goal just 3:58 into the game. After David Leggio had a difficult time handling the puck, Galiev chipped a rebound over Leggio that trickled over the line. It was Galiev's fourth goal in as many games to give Hershey a 1-0 lead.

The scored stayed tied until late in the first period. It was then that Jason Bast, who signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers on Wednesday, drew the first penalty of the game against the Bears. Just 12 seconds into the power play, Scooter Vaughan blasted a shot from the point over the glove of Philipp Grubauer to tie the game at 1-1.

The second period looked like it would be a relatively uneventful one until late in the frame. After an Aaron Ness interference penalty, the Bears power play went to work. Tim Kennedy slipped a cross crease pass over to Galiev, who fired home his second of the game and sixth of the season. The Bears went into the locker room with a 2-1 lead they would not relinquish.

A pair of early goals by Chris Brown and former Sound Tiger Joel Broda put Hershey up 4-1 early in the last frame. Bridgeport got a pair back from Mike Halmo and Colin McDonald to get it as close as one, but Hershey scored twice more to put the game away.

The Sound Tigers earned just three power plays in the game, but scored on two of them to improve their league-best power play to 29%. McDonald's goal was scored on a delayed penalty, meaning the Sound Tigers have not scored a five-on-five goal in three games.

Bridgeport now heads to Allentown for a home-and-home with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Puck drop tomorrow night at PPL Center is set for 7:05 p.m.

Notes: Both Mark Nemec and Jason Bast made their American Hockey League debuts...David Leggio started in net against his former team, after playing the 2013-14 season with Hershey...The six goals allowed by the Sound Tigers is the most they've given up this season.
