Marlies Drop Bulldogs 3-1

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Toronto Marlies (7-12-2-0) scored three unanswered goals in the back half of the third period to upend the Hamilton Bulldogs (10-10-2-0) 3-1 on Friday night at FirstOntario Centre.

Scoreless through the first 40 minutes, Bulldogs forward Sven Andrighetto opened the scoring 4:51 into the third period with his team-leading ninth goal of the season, unassisted.

Marlies forward Connor Brown tied the game with a redirect at 10:42 of the final frame, with assists from defenceman Eric Knodel and forward Tyler Biggs.

Toronto forward Brandon Kozun notched the eventual game winner with less than five minutes to play, assisted by forward Josh Leivo.

Marlies forward Troy Bodie added an empty-net goal with 1:22 to play to seal the 3-1 win for his club. Forward Sam Carrick had the only assist on the play.

Mike Condon ma de 20 saves on 22 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss, while Antoine Bibeau stopped 26 of 27 shots faced for the Marlies in the win.

Hamilton went 0-for-6 on the power play, while Toronto was 0-for-4 with a man advantage.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 6 when they'll visit the Toronto Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum at 5 p.m. The 'Dogs will return home on Sunday, Dec. 7 when they'll host the Texas Stars at FirstOntario Centre at 3 p.m.
