Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators remained perfect against the Rochester Americans this season with a 4-1 win at the Blue Cross Arena. Cole Schneider and Jean-Gabriel Pageau led the B-Sens attack offensively with a goal and an assist each while Scott Greenham stopped 29 of 30 shots faced for his fourth victory of the year.

Following a scoreless first period, Schneider gave the B-Sens a 1-0 lead. Following a shot from Ryan Dzingel, Schneider jumped on a loose puck in front of the Amerks Nathan Lieuwen and lifted the puck into the back of the net for his seventh marker of the year. Just over two minutes later, Derek Grant redirected a shot from Alex Grant on the power play to double Binghamton's lead to 2-0. Rochester answered with less than seven minutes to play in the second when Johan Larsson converted a feed from Mikhail Girgorenko to make it 2-1 heading into the final intermission.

Max McCormick netted his third of the season 2:42 into the final frame to make it a 3-1 Binghamton lead before Pageau completed an acrobatic tally in the waning seconds of a B-Sens power play to move the final to 4-1.

Binghamton continued its balanced offensive attack with ten different skaters recording a point. Lieuwen finished with 24 saves on 28 shots faced.

The B-Sens will be back on home ice tomorrow night when they host the Adirondack Flames at 7:05p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Binghamton Senators Executive Office at (607) 722-7367 or stopping in between 8:00a.m. through the second intermission.
