Coyotes Acquire Philip Samuelsson from Pittsburgh

GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired defenseman Philip Samuelsson from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for forward Rob Klinkhammer and a conditional fifthround draft choice in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

The 23-year-old Samuelsson has registered 0-4-4 and 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 22 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) this season. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Leksand, Sweden has appeared in five career NHL games with the Penguins. Samuelsson was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in the second round (61st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

In 19 games with the Coyotes this season, Klinkhammer collected 3-0-3 and four PIM.
