Beloit Sky Carp News Release
APPLETON, WI - In an offensive explosion, the Beloit Snappers dominated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on getaway day in Appleton by a final score of 11-2. In the ballgame, the Snappers were able to slug out 20 hits with five players collecting multi-hit games.
For the Snappers, they would get the offense going early and often with two runs right away in the first inning. After Nick Ward and John Jones both reached via singles, Anthony Churlin would follow up with a single of his own plating both runners and giving Beloit the early lead.
The scoring for Beloit would not stop though in the first, as Churlin would hit his second homer of the season in the third to give the Snappers a 4-0 lead. Then, Beloit would continue their hot offensive hitting ways the rest of the game with another run in the fourth and 3-run innings in the sixth and the ninth to go on to win 11-2.
For the Snappers offensively, Nick Ward and John Jones paced the offense, as they both collected 5 hit games with Ward scoring 3 runs and knocking in 2. Jones also scored a run of his own and knocked in a run.
