Bees Win Second Straight over Chiefs, 5-3

Jordan Adams was on base all afternoon, with three hits, including a double, and two walks in five trips as Burlington sent a reeling Peoria team to their eighth straight loss 5-3 Sunday afternoon.

The Bees first rounder, hitting in the first slot as the DH, lead off the bottom of the first with a single. He drew a walk in the third, doubled and scored in the fifth, walked and scored in the seventh and singled in the eighth.

Parker Joe Robinson picked up his first win of the year with three innings of 1-hit relief. Mayky Perez earned his third save.

With Peoria up 3-2 entering the home seventh, Morgan McCullough walked. Adams drew a pass. Kevin Maitan, who was 2-5 in the game, flew out to center. Nonie Williams walked. Spencer Griffin popped to short. Keinner Pina, returning from the injured list, drove in two with a line single to left. Francisco Del Valle doubled to the left centerfield gap, scoring Williams. Bees up 5-3.

Robinson allowed a single and a walk in the eighth, but got a ground ball double play to end the threat. Perez gave up a line out and a walk to start the ninth. Another ground ball double play ended the game.
