NEWS AND NOTES

MIDDLE GAME ON TUESDAY : The Portland Sea Dogs and Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) play game two of their 3-game set on Tuesday night at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland needs to win the final two games of the series to finish with a winning record on the road for June - their last winning month on the road was May of last season...LHP Jalen Beeks makes his first Double-A start on the road...The lefty set a career-high with 10 K's in his Double-A debut on June 23rd vs. Harrisburg.

RAIN DID NOT GO AWAY : Last night's game was delayed 33 minutes at the start and finished with a 1 hour and 10 minute delay, as the Thunder took the opener, 3-0 over Portland...The game was officially called at 10:12 PM after Lane Adams singled to left...Trenton scored two unearned runs in the first inning off losing pitcher Keith Couch (4-4)...Jordan Montgomery tossed a 3-hit shutout, issuing one walk and fanning five...Miguel Andujar went 2-for-3, 2 RBI and Adams went 2-for-3, RBI.
