NEWS AND NOTES

IT'S FRIDAY!: Tonight, the Sea Dogs go for their sixth straight home win as they host the Harrisburg Senators for game two of their four-game series. Portland took game one with a walk-off home run by Aneury Tavarez off of Gilberto Mendez to lead off the bottom of the ninth. Rain delayed the game for one-hour-and-38-minutes in the bottom of the second inning. Matt Purke makes his second start of the year for Harrisburg, while Justin Haley is scheduled to take the mound for the Sea Dogs.

HOME SIX-PACK?: Portland's five-game home win streak is their longest this season and their first give-gamer since 7/5-7/12/14. The last time the 'Dogs won six in a row at Hadlock Field was an eight-game streak from 8/2-8/17/12. 35% (7-of-20) of the Sea Dogs home wins this year have come in the past two weeks. Portland won more games on their last homestand (six) than they had in any month so far this season.
