Fans Show Support of Senators in Record Numbers

HARRISBURG, PA. - Central Pennsylvania showed their support of the Harrisburg Senators in a big way last weekend with three consecutive sellouts Thursday through Saturday, leading the team to their largest Thursday through Sunday attendance ever. The Senators drew 25,133 fans for the four-game series.

The weekend started with the Senators tenth largest crowd in history as 7,322 fans made their way into the ballpark to see the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo. The fun continued on Friday with 6,352 fans flocking to Metro Bank Park to watch a great post-game fireworks show. On Saturday night, there were more fireworks and a Bryce Harper Snow Globe giveaway which attracted 6,870 fans. The weekend wrapped up with a nice Sunday crowd of 4,589 attending the game.

"It certainly was a fun weekend at Metro Bank Park," said Senators President Kevin Kulp. "The weather was great and the fans were really into the games. We still have 17 more home games this season. Come check some of the really cool things we have happening this next month."

The fun at Metro Bank Park continues next week as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders make their annual visit on Tuesday night. Wednesday night is the Principal Financial Dreams Tour, which includes an appearance by, former Major Leaguer, Bill Buckner, who will be available for pictures and autographs. Finally on Thursday, it's the annual Mountz Jewelers Diamond Dig.

The Senators box office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
