Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a three-game losing streak as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Colorado Rockies) in the second game of a four-game series at New Britain Stadium. Last night, the SeaWolves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning but could not contain the Rock Cats as Tommy Collier gave up a season-high eight runs in a 9-4 loss... Tonight, righty Austin Kubitza makes his 20th start of the season and first against the Rock Cats. Kubitza snapped a four-game losing streak in his last start against Richmond on July 26. In the game, he allowed a run on eight hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings of work. Erie won the game 10-1.. RHP Matt Flemer takes the mound for the Rock Cats making his 21st appearance and 20th start. Flemer also snapped a four-game losing streak in his last start against Reading on July 26. In the game, he allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in six innings of work...Yesterday, the Tigers traded to get infielder JaCoby Jones in exchange for Joakim Soria. Jones has been added to the Erie roster and Tony Thomas has been released.
