OSHKOSH, IL - The Santa Cruz Warriors (7-8) beat the Wisconsin Herd (5-12), 122-104, on Tuesday evening at Oshkosh Arena.
All five Warriors starters scored double digits in today's win, and guard Lester Quinones led with a double-double notching 24 points and 10 rebounds. Center Jayce Johnson secured a double-double, adding 23 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Jerome Robinson closed out the night with 24 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Herd were led by guards Joe Wieskamp and Rob Edwards with 17 points each. Forward Alize Johnson contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds and forward Paris Bass added 14 points off the bench to close out the night.
Santa Cruz was aggressive in the paint with 18 points in the first quarter to take a one-point lead heading into the second quarter, 26-25. The Warriors offense exploded to extend the lead by as many as 10 points in the second quarter and closed out the half with a 56-46 lead.
The Sea Dubs offense continued to dominate in the third quarter, heading into the final frame leading, 85-79. Santa Cruz saw a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter and closed out the game with a win over the Wisconsin Herd, 122-104.
