Stockton Kings News Release

Today, the NBA G League announced that Sacramento Kings Two-Way center Neemias Queta has been selected to compete in the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game. The event will take place in Salt Lake City on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 12 p.m. PT as part of NBA All-Star Weekend and will be televised live on NBA TV from the University of Utah's Jon M. Huntsman Center.

Throughout the G League Showcase and the regular season combined, Queta has competed in 27 games (27 starts) with the Stockton Kings, averaging a team-leading 18.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 30.1 minutes per game. Along with shooting 68.4 percent from the field, Queta has averaged 2.2 blocks per game, marking a team-high, which ranks eighth in the G League. Queta leads the Kings with eight double-doubles and eight 20-point games this season, including a season-high 38 points in a win over the Santa Cruz Warriors on Nov. 26, 2022.

This year will mark the first time the NBA G League has hosted the Next Up Game and will feature 24 players. All NBA G League contract players currently on a roster and NBA Two-Way players who have played in at least four NBA G League games were eligible to be selected. The G League selected 14 players to participate, while a fan vote determined the remaining 10 players.
