Cooper & Mobley Selected for NBA G League Next up Game

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge have had two players chosen to participate in the 2023 NBA G League Next Up Game: Sharife Cooper & Isaiah Mobley. The two will represent the Wine & Gold during 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City for the inaugural event on Sunday, February 19th at 3:00 p.m. EST
Cooper is currently the second-leading scorer in the NBA G League, averaging 26.2 points on .442 shooting with 4.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 10 games during the regular season. During the Showcase Cup portion of the season, he averaged 24.9 points on .483 shooting with 7.7 assists and 1.2 steals over 18 games. Cooper was named NBA G League Player of the Month for January 2023, and earned NBA G League Player of the Week honors twice so far this season.
Mobley is averaging 23.0 points on .535 shooting with 9.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 10 games so far during the regular season. During the Showcase Cup portion of the season, he averaged 22.6 points on .524 shooting with 8.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 blocks in over 10 games. Mobley has posted eight double-doubles in 20 games played so far this season as a Two-Way Player with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland's Didi Louzada was also chosen to participate via popular fan voting, but had to withdraw due to injury. The 2023 NBA G League Next Up game takes place on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3:00 p.m. EST and will air live on NBA TV from the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City as part of NBA All-Star 2023. Two team captains, Luka Garza & Scoot Henderson, will select a 12-man roster from the 24-player field during the NBA G League Next Up Game Draft, which will be broadcast on Feb. 14 on NBAGLeague.com at 2:00 p.m. EST and then on the NBA App at 3:00 p.m. EST. The 24-player field includes players selected by a fan vote and the NBA G League. Head coaches Scott Morrison (Salt Lake City Stars) and Paul Hewitt (Ontario Clippers) will lead Team Scoot and Team Luka, respectively.
