Sacramento Bullpen Shuts Down New Orleans

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento's bullpen pitched 4.0 scoreless innings as the River Cats held on for a 3-2 victory against New Orleans on Tuesday night at Raley Field. Jerry Blevins pitched a hitless sixth inning, Fautino De Los Santos struck out the side in the seventh and Willie Eyre pitched the eighth and ninth for his first save of the season. Anthony Recker and Matt Carson hit solo home runs in the second inning to tie the game, 2-2. Carson's was his team-leading eighth of the season and landed on the field house beyond the center-field wall. Josh Donaldson, who finished 3-for-4, hit an RBI single to score Mitch Canham in the third inning for a 3-2 lead.
