LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will return to Cashman Field to begin an eight-game homestand over the Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 27 against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, at 7:05 p.m.
The fourth homestand of the season will feature four-game series' against Tacoma (May 27-30) and the Tucson Padres, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, from Tuesday-Friday, May 31 - June 3.
The 51s, under manager Marty Brown, are currently 28-18 on the season and in second place in the Pacific Southern Division, one game behind the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's. The 51s are the hottest team in the league and are 18-3 over their last 21 games and have compiled an 19-4 record in the month of May. The eight-game Midwest road trip will conclude on Thursday afternoon in Des Moines against the Iowa Cubs.
Las Vegas is averaging 4,696 fans (112,709) through 24 home dates in the 2011 campaign. The season-high crowd was 11,001 vs. Round Rock on May 17. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in "home" attendance in all 28 seasons (1983-2010) and the all-time total now stands at 9,473,675.
A spectacular postgame "Fireworks" show, presented by NV Energy, will be featured in the opening game of the homestand on Friday and five flat screen televisions will be given away to selected fans throughout the game.
Game two of the four-game series on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. will feature 51s Distressed Hat Night, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates.
The final two games of the series on Sunday and Monday (Memorial Day) will feature matinee contests at 12:05 p.m. Value Menu Monday will once again be featured on May 30. The 51s and Aramark have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jacks and Pretzels for just $1.00 per item.
Tacoma's roster features two of the top 10 prospects in the Mariners organization, according to Baseball America: top prospect, second baseman Dustin Ackley and right-handed pitcher Dan Cortes (No. 10).
Las Vegas will then open a four-game series against Tucson (formerly the Portland Beavers) on T-Shirt Tuesdays (May 31) at 7:05 p.m. Sandy Alomar Jr. T-Shirt Night will be featured, to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Alomar was a member of the Las Vegas Stars from 1988-89 and is the only player in Las Vegas franchise history to win back-to-back Pacific Coast League MVP honors in '88-89 as catcher.

Game three of the series will feature Budweiser Dollar Beer Night on Thursday, June 2 at 7:05 p.m. Dollar Beer Night is presented on every Thursday home game throughout the season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.
The finale of the homestand on Friday, June 3 at 7:05 p.m. will feature Mayor Oscar Goodman Bobblehead Night, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates. Goodman, "The Happiest Mayor of the Greatest City in the World," has held office from 1999-2011.
Carl's Jr. Family Night will also be presented on Friday, June 3. Fans can purchase the deal that includes: 4 Tickets; 4 Carl's Jr. $4 Food Coupons; 4 Las Vegas 51s Hats and the price ranges are $36 for Reserved; $48 for Plaza; $52 for Field. The other three dates are: Saturday, June 25; Friday, July 1; Saturday, August 20.

Tucson skipper Terry Kennedy returns for his second season and the 14-year Major League veteran was the Las Vegas 51s Manager in 2004.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on Fox Sports Radio 920 AM, which will carry live all 144 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the six-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 12th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

Following the eight-game homestand, Las Vegas will embark to Northern California for an eight-game road trip beginning on Saturday, June 4 at Fresno, Calif., against the Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The four-game series will run through Tuesday, June 7. The PCL then has a scheduled off day on Wednesday, June 8. The 51s will then travel to Tucson, Ariz., to face the Padres in a four-game series from Thursday-Sunday, June 9-12.
Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the Cashman Field box office. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com). Ticketmaster outlets are located at selected Smith's Food & Drug.
The individual game tickets for the 72-game home season are priced at $10.00 (reserved), $13.00 (plaza) and $14.00 (field). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza and reserved seats throughout the season except for the holiday fireworks shows on Sunday, July 3 (all seats at $14.00).
