GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars open a three-game homestand this Wednesday (July 9-11) against the Peoria Chiefs, Class-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Cubs legend and Hall-of-Famer Ryne Sandberg makes his first appearance in Geneva this season to manage the Chiefs against the playoff-bound Cougars, who clinched a postseason berth last month.
Fans will be treated to Sandberg's arrival, as well as three straight nights of fireworks and several premium giveaway items that will be a souvenir keepsake for any Cougar fan's collection. We're also bringing back our popular 2K Day promotion, where lucky fans can win up to $500 in cash!
