Rush Announce Acquisition of Ferriero

Rapid City Rush News Release
(RAPID CITY, SD) - The Rapid City Rush are pleased to announce the first player acquisition of the 2015 calendar year. Head coach and GM Joe Ferras has signed rookie forward Cody Ferriero, who comes to the Rush organization from the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL.
Ferriero, 23, a native of Essex, Massachusetts, suited up in 23 games for the defending SPHL Champion Ice Flyers, and spent time with current Rush defenseman Jeremy Gates. While playing in the Florida panhandle, he racked up 13 goals along with 18 assists for 31 points and a +14 rating. Prior to playing professionally, Ferriero played 104 games with his alma mater, Northeastern University, and recorded 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points.
