Condors Countdown with Head Coach J.F. Houle
TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors take on the Stockton Thunder for third straight game after the Condors took three of a possible four points on home ice against the Thunder last weekend. Bakersfield is in the midst of a 10-game stretch with eight games on home ice. It is also a stretch where the Condors will play 17 of 24 games at Rabobank Arena.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Condors trailed by three with under 10 minutes remaining in the third period, but clawed back to tie it at 4-4 in regulation, before falling in a shootout on Saturday. LW Jordan Kremyr had a three-point night (1g-2a), C Ryan Watson had four assists, and the Condors received goals from two d-men, Nick Pageau and Joe Marciano, to complete the improbable comeback.
Stockton dropped two midweek games at home to Ontario. After falling 3-1 on Tuesday night, the Thunder held a 3-1 lead midway through the 2nd period on New Year's Eve, but surrendered three straight and lost 4-3.
CONDORS NOTES
C Ryan Watson has a point in each of his first five games of the season (1g-7a). He matched a team season high for points in a game with four assists on Saturday night. The four assists were the most by a Condor in a single game this season... D CJ Ludwig was loaned to the Condors yesterday. He had six points (1g-5a) in seven games with Bakesfield before being recalled by Oklahoma City... The Condors have scored five times this season with their goaltender pulled. However, the team is just 1-2-2 in those games.
TRANSACTIONS
1/2 - D C.J. Ludwig assigned by Oklahoma City (AHL)
