Trudeau Recalled to Bridgeport

Goaltender Philippe Trudeau has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers to pursue a college degree in Canada.

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have had goaltender Philippe Trudeau recalled to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL and mutually agrees with the AHL team to terminate his contract. Trudeau has decided to pursue a college degree and play college hockey in Canada.

Trudeau, 21, has seen action in 8 games this year, all with the Thunder. The 6'6=A1=E5 netminder has gone 3-5-0 this year with a 4.15 goals-against-average and .886 save-percentage.

The Blainville, Quebec native made his pro debut last year with the Sound Tigers after his junior career in the QMJHL and OHL came to an end. It wouldn't be until his first start for the Thunder back on October 18 to get his first professional win in his fifth ever pro game.
