Thunder Shut Down by Condors 2-0

Bakersfield, Calif. - Despite a dominant penalty kill, the Stockton Thunder fall to the Bakersfield Condors 2-0 in the first game of 2015 for the Thunder Friday night in Bakersfield. Kent Simpson stopped 27 of the 29 shots he faced, including multiple game-savers, but Bakersfield goaltender Ty Rimmer pitched an 18-save shutout to lead the Condors to victory. It marks the second time this season that the Thunder have been shutout, the first coming on October 29 at Idaho. The Thunder play the second game of their six-game road trip Sunday afternoon in a matinee contest versus the Ontario Reign.
