
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Cincinnati Cyclones

For the second time in as many games the Kalamazoo Wings will host the Cincinnati Cyclones at Wings Stadium. Cincinnati defeated Kalamazoo 5-2 on New Year's Eve. Tonight will be the fifth meeting of the season between the teams. The K-Wings are 1-3-0-0 against the Cyclones.
The K-Wings will begin 2015 trying to find a way to improve at home. Kalamazoo, who is on a three-game (0-3-0-0) home winless streak, is 4-9-1-1 at Wings Stadium. With the 22 points, the K-Wings are tied with the Evansville IceMen for fifth place in the North Division.
Winners of three in a row, the Cyclones have created some breathing room for third place in the North Division. Cincinnati leads the Wheeling Nailers by four points for third. Starting from New Year's Eve, Cincinnati will play four out their next five games on the road.

Ending a Drought
With his goal on Wednesday, defenseman Sacha Guimond snapped a K-Wings scoring drought against the Cyclones. The tally was the first for Kalamazoo in a span of 108 minutes and 22 seconds against Cincinnati.
