
Royals Spoil Cyclones Home Finale

The Cyclones lost a 4-3 decision to the Reading Royals in the Cyclones' final home contest of the year. Mike Henderson scored twice for the Cyclones in the loss.
The Royals the game's first goal just 52 seconds into the first period when Chris Lynch beat Randy Petruk on a wraparound. The Royals held that 1-0 lead throughout the first before Kent Davyduke extended the Reading lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 15:48 mark of the second.
Mike Henderson scored just 12 seconds after Davyduke's marker to cut the Royals lead to one at 2-1. The Royals would respond quickly as David Masse scored just 39 seconds after Henderson's goal.
In the third, Jason Maleyko scorched his former teammates by scoring his fourth goal of the season with 15:37 left in the period. Just 59 seconds later, Reading's Dave Stewart continued a trend of a Reading goal quickly following a Cyclones marker. Stewart's fifth marker of the season gave the Royals a 4-2 lead.
Mike Henderson scored for the Cyclones with 2:54 left in the third to put the Cyclones within one at 4-3. Henderson's goal set a dramatic ending, but the Cyclones could never get the equalizer.
The Cyclones return to the ice on Sunday in Johnstown. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. with a 2:20 p.m. pre-game show on sportsjuice.com.
