Garnett Reassigned to Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that goaltender Michael Garnett has been reassigned to the Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

Garnett returns to the Gladiators where he posted an 18-9-2 record and a 2.27 goals against average before being recalled to Chicago on January 15th. Garnett also represented the Gladiators in the 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star game where he posted 24 saves, the most by any netminder in the contest.

In 12 games with Chicago, the Saskatoon native has posted a 2.68 goals against average and a 6-3-2 record with the Wolves.

Garnett recorded his first two professional shutouts with the Gladiators, a 2-0 blanking of Greensboro on December 11th and then a 4-0 shutout of Augusta on December 13th before being recalled to Chicago.

Garnett should be available for the Gladiators 8:05 p.m. start tonight in Texas against the Wildcatters.
